What changedA Yahoo Finance article published on 21 October says financing for IREN’s planned 300MW Badajoz AI campus remains open. That is a new caveat for a project whose initial operations are targeted for 2028.
The article also describes the plan as subject to permits and grid connections. That wording sits uneasily beside the earlier account that IREN says it has a civil works licence and grid power secured. The status of those requirements is therefore not clear from these accounts alone.
The same article says IREN shares were up 4% in morning trading but remained down 26% year to date. That market snapshot is not evidence that the campus has secured financing, customers or a route to operation.
