What changedAnthropic’s call to pace frontier AI now has a more conspicuous meeting place. The Independent reports that King Charles is expected to convene leaders from Anthropic, Google DeepMind, OpenAI and NVIDIA in Scotland to discuss how AI can serve the good of humanity, with a possible shared-principles charter covering human dignity, communities and the planet. That would give the industry’s emerging safety conversation a neutral forum, but it is still a conversation and a draft, not a rulebook. The useful test is whether the gathering produces measurable commitments, independent access and standards with enough teeth to survive contact with commercial competition.
