What changedThe Ryzen 5 5500F now has early gaming results behind it. eTeknix, citing tests from RandomGamingHD, reports gains of roughly 3% to 15% over the Ryzen 5 5500, with the biggest uplift in CPU-heavy games such as Battlefield and smaller differences in titles including Red Dead Redemption 2. The catch is familiar: its 16MB of L3 cache is half that of the Ryzen 5 5600, so this looks like a modest, budget-friendly AM4 refresh rather than a mid-range miracle.
Sources and evidence- eTeknix, reporting tests published by RandomGamingHD: Independent tests reported performance improvements of roughly 3% to 15% for the Ryzen 5 5500F over the Ryzen 5 5500, depending on the game.
