What changedQwen Code Desktop is out at v0.24.0, numbered alongside this week's CLI release and carrying its own changelog, which lists no breaking changes. One quiet piece of plumbing matters more than it sounds: the release notes say the desktop app is now published automatically when the CLI ships, so the two builds should stop drifting apart between versions.
The Goal subsystem has had its foundations redone, per the changelog. The first-generation Stop-hook implementation is deleted, with the docs from that era retired alongside it, and the replacement machinery emits lifecycle events and metrics, persists turn endings outside model history, shows turn and active-time budgets, and now bills foreground subagents and verifier token usage.
Workflow governance gets stricter too. Saved workflows can be run by name, with grants pinned to the script's content so an approval cannot quietly attach to a different version of the script; source references survive runs and resumes; agent dispatches and nested workflow calls are correlated; and the model can invoke extension workflows that declare a whenToUse trigger. The web shell adds per-turn sources with footnote previews and can connect to a selected remote daemon.
