What changed

CoreWeave's fundraising day has grown a second engine. Per The Information, the company said on Thursday that it has unveiled a new at-the-market offering programme, letting it sell up to 35 million shares worth roughly $3 billion at the prior day's closing price.

An ATM programme is the drip-feed cousin of a block sale. Rather than handing investors a fixed chunk of stock at a set price, the company registers a ceiling and picks its moments, feeding shares into the market when the price cooperates. The cap is a permission slip, not a promise, so the number that eventually matters is how much of the 35 million actually finds buyers.

Set next to the $3bn convertible note issue announced at the same time, with an option attached, the day now amounts to roughly $6bn of potential fresh capital, half debt and half equity. For a business paying for data centres long before those data centres pay for themselves, an equity tap that opens only when the share price behaves is the flexible instrument in the drawer. The watch item shifts from headline caps to drawdowns: how much of each programme gets used, and how fast.
