Update

What changed

Hostinger’s new OpenClaw walkthrough adds practical detail to the project’s the publishing engine publishing workflow, including a safer alternative to handing over a site administrator password. Users can create a the publishing engine Application Password under Users → Profile, then connect OpenClaw through the the publishing engine REST API using that credential instead.

The guide also makes the workflow more concrete. After installing the the publishing engine agent skills, users can ask OpenClaw to draft and publish posts, update pages, manage media, categories and tags, schedule content, or show a before-and-after comparison before saving edits. The agent can be reached through its dashboard or connected messaging channels such as WhatsApp and Telegram.

That last step matters. OpenClaw can moderate comments, manage users and alter site content through the API, so “just tell it what to do” is a powerful shortcut with a fairly large key attached. Hostinger’s guide describes the capabilities and setup, not an independent security audit or a guarantee that the agent will make editorially sound decisions. The useful boundary is simple: use an Application Password, request previews for consequential changes, and check the live site after publishing.

Sources and evidence
  • How to set up OpenClaw for the publishing engine – Hostinger: Hostinger says OpenClaw can connect to the publishing engine through the REST API using an Application Password and can perform publishing, editing, media, comment, user and scheduling tasks through natural-language commands, with previews available for some updates.
