What changedAMD, Arm and Intel shares extended their gains as investors continued to connect Meta’s popular Muse agent with a possible rise in demand for central processors. Yahoo Finance reported that Arm rose 13%, Intel 12% and AMD 9%, while the iShares Semiconductor ETF gained about 3%, suggesting the move was concentrated in processor names rather than the chip sector as a whole.
Yahoo Finance also reported that Intel chief executive Lip-Bu Tan said the company can currently meet only about 50% of customer demand. That gives the rally an additional supply-side ingredient, although the report does not establish how much of Intel’s shortfall is connected to agentic AI workloads.
The market case remains an expectation, not a sales announcement. No new orders from Meta were disclosed by AMD, Arm or Intel, and neither Arm nor Meta has said that Muse runs on Arm’s AGI CPU. TradingView likewise described the connection as an investor read-through. The useful development is that traders are now pricing possible CPU demand from consumer AI alongside the better-known accelerator boom, which is a hypothesis AMD will eventually have to support with shipments and revenue.
Sources and evidence- Arm Surges 13% as Meta’s Muse Agent Reignites CPU Demand Bet; Intel Jumps 12%, AMD Climbs 9% – Yahoo Finance: Investors are extending a CPU-demand thesis around Meta’s Muse, with AMD, Arm and Intel shares rising sharply, but the evidence shows market expectations rather than disclosed chip orders.
