Update
What changedAMD is not merely riding a share-price rally towards a trillion-dollar valuation. 24/7 Wall St. reports that the company is raising prices by 10% on AI accelerators, consumer GPUs and chipsets, with investors reading the move as evidence that demand is running ahead of supply.
The report says AMD’s Q2 FY2026 revenue reached $11.54bn, with Data Centre revenue up 107% year on year to $6.718bn. AMD has guided for roughly $13bn in Q3 revenue, while CEO Lisa Su has said the company expects data-centre revenue to more than double year on year in 2027. Those are company figures and guidance, not a guarantee that the next targets will land neatly.
The practical signal is pricing power: AMD appears to believe customers will absorb higher prices while it expands production. But the valuation still leaves little room for a stumble, and the report flags export controls, a 31% fall in gaming revenue and tight server-CPU supply as risks. The next hard test is AMD’s Q3 report against that $13bn guide. Chip economics, rather than a very large number on a stock screen, will decide whether the trillion-dollar door stays open.
