What changedMeta has confirmed its Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses as part of a much broader push to make AI eyewear an everyday product. The camera-free frames weigh 43 grams, offer up to 12 hours of use on a charge and come with a case providing up to 48 additional hours. Meta says they will ship on 13 October, correcting the earlier reported date of 3 October.
The company says Ray-Ban Meta Audio will start at $349 and connect to its Muse assistant for hands-free help, including sports scores, restaurant suggestions, live translation and calendar support. Meta is also expanding its AI glasses range to more than 100 options across Ray-Ban, Oakley and Meta Glasses by the end of the year, with new markets including Singapore, South Korea, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates.
That makes the camera-free model more than a privacy-minded side branch.
