What changedMeta chief AI officer Alexandr Wang says Muse now supports video chat, allowing users to speak with the AI agent in real time while prompting how its voice should sound. That adds a more direct visual and conversational interface to Meta’s assistant.
Wang described the feature as available in one post and as “coming soon” in another published minutes later, so its precise rollout status is unclear. The claim is a company-side product announcement, not an independent test of response speed, reliability or availability.
The practical change is less about giving Muse another animated face and more about making the agent feel present during a live exchange. It also leaves the useful questions hanging: which users get access, how much control people have over the voice, and whether video chat makes Muse more useful or merely more difficult to escape.
Sources and evidence- alexandrwang on X: MUSE FEATURE ALERT: you can video chat with your muse now! it talks back in real time, and you get to prompt exactly how it sounds! (iphone screen record doesn’t: Alexandr Wang claims that Meta’s Muse AI agent supports, or is about to support, real-time video chat and user-directed voice prompting.
