What changedMeta’s Muse AI agent is getting a small physical companion called Muse Charm, a palm-sized device designed to let people speak to Muse without unlocking a phone or opening an app. Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg revealed the device at the company’s Connect event and said it is expected to ship in December, although Meta has not announced a price.
TechCrunch reports that the Charm has a tiny screen showing Jolly, the avatar representing Muse, and can be carried in a pocket or attached to a keychain. Users will be able to talk to it and show Muse what is happening around them.
The Charm gives Meta another route into the same personal-agent strategy already being tested through phones, the web and wearables. It also moves more of the interaction into a device with its own microphones, camera and connection to Meta’s servers.
