What changedMeta’s third-generation Ray-Ban glasses will start at $249 in the Adventurer style, $200 below the previously reported entry price for the range. The expanded collection includes 51 style combinations, adjustable temple tips and new Aviator and Zena frames, giving buyers considerably more choice than the usual black-or-slightly-different-black eyewear parade.
The glasses add six microphones, which Meta says are designed to capture the wearer’s voice more clearly in noisy conditions and reduce wind noise. Meta is also highlighting Dolby Atmos spatial audio capture, intended to preserve where sounds originated in a room rather than flattening everything into one undifferentiated recording.
The lower starting price and audio improvements make Meta’s AI-glasses pitch more practical, while the cameras and microphones keep the privacy argument very much alive.
