What changedMeta says its Muse AI agent will reach its glasses in the coming months, while its new camera-free Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses offer up to 12 hours of battery life. The announcement also adds a lower-cost Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 option, more than 100 AI-glasses styles by the end of the year, and a $1,299.99 pair of Meta VR Glasses due in spring 2027.
What happened
Meta’s official Connect 2026 announcement says Muse will be activated on supported AI glasses by voice. It will be able to respond to what the wearer is looking at, including products, leaflets and shopping lists, and can take action from there. Meta also says Muse is gaining its own email address, computer control on Mac, and new connectors for services including Walmart, PayPal, Expedia, Instacart, Notion, GitHub and Box.
The hardware push is just as broad. The Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses remove the camera while retaining microphones, open-ear speakers and hands-free access to Meta’s AI tools. Meta says they weigh 43 grams, use new Clubmaster and Burbank designs, and deliver up to 12 hours of battery life. Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 adds an action button, new Aviator and Zena frames, and a lower-cost Adventurer model.
