What changedMeta has unveiled Muse Charm, a small handheld device designed to give its AI assistant a dedicated physical home. Mark Zuckerberg presented the pendant-like gadget at Meta’s Connect event, saying it can sit on a keychain, show a Muse avatar on its screen and be activated with a fingerprint sensor.
Ars Technica reports that the Charm is expected to launch in December. It will support real-time voice interaction, giving people a way to speak with Muse and show it what is happening around them without reaching for a phone. Meta says the assistant will also come to its glasses, but the Charm is the clearest sign yet that the company wants Muse to follow people through everyday life rather than remain an app icon.
The move adds hardware to Meta’s wider bet on an agent that can handle tasks such as shopping, travel and personal organisation.
