Update
What changedDeepSeek Harness’s desktop preview is now circulating as version V0.1.7-rc.1 for Mac and Windows, with an update path indicating V0.1.7-rc.2. Linux is not supported in the build described by BigGo Finance, and DeepSeek has still not made a formal stable-release announcement.
The new detail is that the installer appears to have entered DeepSeek’s official distribution pipeline. BigGo Finance says the Mac build carries an Apple developer certificate linked to Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd and has passed Apple notarisation.
The desktop client keeps Harness’s existing web interface and agent runtime rather than rebuilding the system from scratch. Users can select a local workspace, use an API key or DeepSeek account, and choose workflows including standard tool use, terminal-focused work and programmatic tool calling.
