What changedMicrosoft is adding a public preview of Copilot Managed Runtime, allowing AI-generated applications to run inside a Microsoft 365 tenant with shared sign-in, policies, data connections and an administrator-controlled app inventory. The platform is also opening to third-party tools and professional developers through an SDK and command-line interface.
The company is expanding Copilot’s grounding in organisational data through Fabric IQ, while a new plugin registry is intended to give IT teams one place to approve and manage extensions. Microsoft says Fabric IQ can draw on more than 20 million Power BI semantic models, with further connections to Dynamics 365 and Power Platform planned.
The most useful new detail for finance and IT teams is the spending control.
