What changedMicrosoft is adding a new Cowork capability to Copilot that can work through multi-step assignments, including preparing a response to a request for proposal, assembling a launch kit or packaging a monthly financial close. The company says the system will carry out the sequence without constant supervision, rather than waiting for a person to approve every small step.
The redesigned service is organised around Home, Code and Autopilot. Home combines chat with Cowork, while Microsoft says Copilot will eventually route a request automatically to the most suitable mode.
Microsoft is pitching Code at non-professional developers, who will be able to describe an app, tracker, dashboard or workflow in ordinary language.
