What changedMicrosoft’s revamped Copilot is beginning to roll out through its Frontier programme with a stronger enterprise focus, according to TradingView’s account of the company’s announcement. The app now brings Chat and Cowork together under Home, while Code lets people build and run software using GitHub Copilot technology.
The more consequential addition for organisations is FinOps for AI, which is designed to show and manage spending on AI tools. Microsoft says administrators can manage spending policies through an API, route credit requests into existing approval workflows and decide which model families different groups can use. Those settings can also influence the models Autopilot selects.
Autopilot, formerly called Scout, is positioned as a proactive and persistent agent rather than a chatbot that waits politely for the next prompt.
