What changedA hands-on account by Vocal writer Jin says DeepSeek Harness v0.2 is available as a desktop preview for macOS and Windows. The existing report noted desktop availability; this account adds that the build is aimed at handling office files, rather than primarily writing code.
Jin says users can give Harness Word, Excel and PDF files to organise material, analyse data, make charts or create presentations. The account describes a plugin manager that lets users install, disable and remove plugins without using the command line.
The article also says an Automated Tasks plugin can run recurring work in the background, such as compiling a weekly report from new files in a project folder. These are described features of a preview, not a promise that every workflow will run smoothly.
Sources and evidence- I Installed DeepSeek Harness v0.2 So You Don’t Have To – Vocal: Vocal writer Jin’s account says DeepSeek Harness v0.2 for macOS and Windows includes office-file workflows, a command-line-free plugin manager and recurring background tasks.
