The Property Franchise Group is investing £900,000 in Enteka Ai, a conversational AI platform already used across more than 210 of its offices. The reported deal would make Enteka TPFG’s preferred AI provider for three years, putting automated customer conversations into a sizeable estate-agency network.

What happened

Property Industry Eye reports that TPFG is buying a 15% equity interest through the new-share investment, with a further 10% issued upfront but subject to forfeiture conditions. Enteka is to remain independent and continue serving agencies and mortgage brokers outside the group.

The platform handles calls, email, SMS, WhatsApp and live-chat enquiries. Its stated functions include capturing and qualifying leads, arranging appointments, re-engaging existing contacts and handling property-maintenance enquiries. TPFG’s brands using it include Belvoir, EweMove, Hunters, Martin & Co, Northwood and Whitegates. Read the report.

Why it matters

This is more than a small stake in a software supplier: the preferred-provider agreement ties a deployed AI service to a large franchise network, with scope for adoption to grow. For estate agents, the pitch is that software can catch and qualify enquiries while staff spend more time on other work. The practical test is whether that translates into better service and useful leads, not merely fewer calls reaching a person.

Our read

The interesting part is the combination of an investment and a route to wider deployment. The reported terms also deserve a close look: the headline 25% includes a further 10% that can be forfeited under conditions. A three-year preferred-provider deal gives Enteka reach, but makes performance and the agreement’s details matter.

What to watch

  • Whether use expands beyond the 210-plus offices already on the platform.
  • How the conditional 10% stake is treated over the three-year agreement.
  • Whether TPFG or Enteka publishes evidence of better lead conversion or customer service.

Discussion spark: Should estate agencies let AI handle first contact across calls and messages, or should a person remain the first point of contact even if that means slower replies?
