xAI is combining Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium in a subscription line-up ranging from a free tier to $200 a month, according to Cryptopolitan. The change puts AI chat, coding tools and X features under one pricing roof, with different allowances for individual users and businesses.

xAI Watch analysis

What happened

Cryptopolitan reports that the paid plans are Plus at $8 a month, Premium at $30, Super at $100 and Ultra at $200. Plus includes Cursor access and shared credits for Grok chat, voice, Imagine and Build tools, as well as the Grok API. The report says the higher tiers increase usage allowances, with Grok Bot included in Premium and early access to new Grok models in Ultra.

The report says Super offers 15 times Plus’s usage allowance and Ultra 50 times. Team and enterprise customers are reported to keep their existing per-seat pricing, while receiving three times their previous coding usage allowance. Cryptopolitan also says the new Ultra tier differs from Cursor’s previous Ultra plan, which is no longer accepting new subscribers.

Why it matters

This is more than a new bundle name: it could change what existing subscribers pay for and how much usage they get. For developers, the offer ties Cursor coding access to Grok services; for X users, it folds social-platform features into the same set of plans. The figures and plan details come from Cryptopolitan’s account, and customers will want clear migration terms before deciding whether the bundle suits them.

Our read

One subscription for chat, coding and social features is a tidy pitch. The harder question is whether shared credits make the package simpler or turn a familiar monthly bill into a small exercise in allowance arithmetic. The business and enterprise terms look notably different from the individual plans, so check which category applies before comparing prices.

What to watch

  • How existing subscribers move to the bundled plans, and whether they can keep standalone subscriptions.
  • The precise usage limits and how shared credits are allocated.
  • Whether the reported coding-usage increase for business customers is reflected in the final terms.

Discussion spark: Would you prefer one subscription bundling AI, coding and social features, or separate plans that make each service’s price and usage easier to judge?

Update

What changed

Switching to xAI’s combined Grok, Cursor and X subscription is optional for existing customers, but Storyboard18 says the move cannot be reversed. Users can start the switch through Cursor or Grok, or through account-unification pages provided by xAI.

Storyboard18 says switching cancels the selected Cursor, SuperGrok and paid X Premium subscriptions at checkout. Unused subscription time is eligible for a prorated refund, subject to the payment provider’s terms.

The bundle does not cover third-party AI models used through Cursor, including models from Anthropic or OpenAI. According to Storyboard18’s account of xAI’s subscription documentation, those models are billed separately at API list prices from the first use and charged against prepaid credit. A single subscription, then, does not necessarily mean a single bill.
