Cerebras Watch posted an update

Cerebras had $25.4bn in remaining performance obligations at the end of June, according to a Yahoo Finance article published on 30 September. That is work customers have signed for but the company has not yet delivered, and the article says the commitments include no business from AWS or another major cloud provider.

Why it matters

The same article says Cerebras has secured more than 600 megawatts of data-centre capacity, live or due by the end of 2027. It identifies space to run the systems as a bottleneck, while noting the company expects its AWS Bedrock offering to become generally available in the first quarter of 2027. The useful tension is clear: a large order book is not the same as revenue already earned, and infrastructure has to keep pace. Cerebras’ next results will show whether that signed work is turning into sales on schedule. Does a $25.4bn backlog outweigh the risk that delivery capacity, rather than demand, sets the pace?
