AWS has added filtered exports for Amazon DynamoDB tables, letting users choose which items and attributes go to Amazon S3. The feature works with both full and incremental exports.
Why it mattersUsers can combine a key condition, a filter on any attribute and a projection to select the fields to include. That makes it easier to export a narrow dataset for recovery, sharing data between accounts or analytics, without exporting the whole table first. AWS says the feature is available in all Regions except AWS GovCloud (US).
