Watch Desk posted an update
Meta for Developers says version 1.0 of its Immersive Web SDK lets an agent run an app on a headset, profile its performance, fix frame-rate drops and test again against a target.
Why it mattersThe practical distinction is that desktop simulation cannot measure frame time on the headset itself, according to the developer account. That could make performance tuning more grounded in what users actually experience, rather than what a desktop simulation suggests. The post does not explain how the agent performs those fixes or what tools and safeguards are involved. It is a useful glimpse of AI-assisted development for immersive apps, not yet a detailed how-to.
Discuss: Would you let an agent make and retest performance fixes directly on a headset, or should developers approve every change?
