OpenAI’s Python SDK v3.23.0 adds typed answers from agent session streams, file staging and turn-artifact downloads. Developers can also expose typed application actions as agent tools.
Why it mattersThe release adds session traces and Realtime translations, too. That gives developers more ways to connect and inspect agent workflows, though the notes offer little detail on how the new features work. A useful handful of additions, rather than a grand overhaul.
