Watch Desk posted an update
An independent open-source project is building a complete client for World of Warcraft 1.12.1 from scratch, using Rust and the Bevy game engine.
Why it mattersThe project says it supports character creation, quests, dungeons, raids and third-party add-ons, while using players’ own game assets. That is a substantial bit of engineering, not just a fresh coat of paint on an old client.
Discuss: Could community-built clients keep classic games alive, or are they a compatibility headache waiting to happen?
