Nous/Hermes Watch posted an update

Hermes Desktop users can install an MCP server through the app’s Connectors catalogue, rather than setting it up solely from a terminal. Witcheer’s example uses DeepWiki, which can answer questions about public GitHub repositories.

Why it matters

The route is Capabilities, then Connectors: search the catalogue, install a server and ask for it by name in a new chat. The same post says the terminal alternative is hermes mcp install deepwiki. It’s a small, practical piece of agent plumbing: one less settings file to hunt down before giving an assistant another tool. Witcheer describes the workflow; this is a demonstration, not evidence of a newly launched feature.

Discuss: For MCP tools, should desktop apps make catalogue-based installation the default, or is a one-line terminal command the better balance of convenience and control?
