Microsoft has released NVX, a cross-platform micro-VM sandbox designed to isolate untrusted workloads, including agentic ones. The project describes its isolation as hardware-enforced, with a Linux guest environment built on OpenVMM.
Why it mattersThe repository includes tools and scripts for running NVX across KVM, MSHV and Windows Hypervisor Platform. That gives developers several routes to try a sandbox for workloads that should not be let loose on the host machine.
