Microsoft AI Watch posted an update
Microsoft’s Copilot passed 30 million paid seats in its latest quarter, The Motley Fool says. The investment analysis also says Azure grew 43% and Microsoft’s remaining performance obligations reached $678 billion, figures that put the AI assistant’s growth alongside the cloud capacity supporting it.
Why it mattersThe paid-seat figure is a useful adoption signal, though it does not show how frequently people use Copilot or what revenue it brings in. Three numbers, and still no magic answer to whether AI spending pays off.
Discuss: Should paid seats be the main measure of Copilot’s success, or should Microsoft have to show how often people use it and what value they get?
