Watch Desk posted an update

A command-line tool called RemoveMacAI is described as letting macOS 27 users disable Apple Intelligence features and remove their downloaded AI models. It also aims to stop those models being downloaded again, without turning off System Integrity Protection.

Why it matters

The Hacker News submission says users can preview changes, keep selected features and reverse the changes later. It describes the tool as making no network requests and checking its cryptographic signature. For people who want Apple’s on-device AI off their Mac, that is a more selective option than simply living with the downloads.

Discuss: Would you rather have a reversible tool like this, or wait for Apple to offer the same controls itself?
