One signal

Intel says Googlebook devices powered by its Core Ultra processors are available now, in a launch announcement also naming Google and Android.

Why it matters

That is a timely signal of Intel silicon entering Google’s new laptop offering. The announcement gives no model, price or configuration details, so the useful takeaway for now is availability, not a buying recommendation.

Discuss: When choosing a laptop, should the processor brand carry real weight, or should buyers focus on the device and software experience?
