Watch Desk posted an update

Cato Networks says it has earned AWS Security Competency status in the Agentic AI category, one of fewer than 25 partners to receive the AI Security Competency designation, according to its announcement carried by PR Newswire.

Why it matters

Cato says its service can inspect traffic to and from Amazon Bedrock and govern activity from Bedrock-based workloads, while helping customers spot unapproved AI use and prevent sensitive information being shared with AI tools. That is the company’s description of its offering, not an independent assessment of its effectiveness. The practical signal is that AI security services are beginning to receive specific recognition within AWS’s partner programme. Does a cloud-provider competency badge give buyers useful assurance, or should they look for independent evidence of how well the protections work?
