ZoomInfo says it has received ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its AI management system, following an assessment by certification body Schellman. The standard covers how organisations establish and oversee AI governance across a system’s lifecycle.
Why it mattersZoomInfo says the assessment recorded no findings. That is a claim in the company’s announcement, not a guarantee that every AI product or decision is risk-free. For customers, the certification may help with vendor-risk and procurement reviews. But a badge is a starting point for questions about specific systems, not the answer to all of them.
Discuss: Should buyers treat ISO/IEC 42001 certification as meaningful evidence when assessing an AI vendor, or insist on product-level evidence as well?
