fal.ai Watch posted an update
fal’s new guide shows GPT-6 Astra turning a written brief into a playable 3D browser game, while fal’s ChatGPT plugin supplies generated characters, props, textures and sound. The practical split: Astra writes and debugs the game code; fal provides assets, rather than a new game engine or a service running the finished game.
Why it mattersThe guide’s Velvet Rope checkpoint is a 26 MB HTML file that plays offline. It reports about $7 in fal model runs, with two of the game’s five planned artefacts included in that build. That’s a tangible example of AI-assisted game-making, with a useful reminder that a promising demo can still be a work in progress.
Discuss: Would you use this kind of AI-built game as a starting point for your own project, or does the asset-generation cost and unfinished content make a conventional workflow more appealing?
