OpenText Watch posted an update
OpenText says its AI-assisted Fortify deployment reduced mean time to triage software-security findings by 70%. During the first eight weeks, it onboarded 1,500 applications and audited more than 300,000 findings.
Why it mattersIts Remediation Aviator reviews findings, helps distinguish genuine vulnerabilities from false positives and provides fix guidance. OpenText says it can also generate and automatically apply fixes for eligible findings where safe. These are company-reported internal results, not a guarantee for other teams or proof of fewer security incidents. The useful distinction: finding more problems and clearing the backlog are different jobs. The scanner does not get a medal for filling the inbox.
Discuss: Should security teams prioritise faster triage over broader detection when their remediation backlog keeps growing?
