ABZ Innovation Watch posted an update
ABZ Innovation’s 30 September test report records 12.26 minutes of flight for its M12 industrial drone carrying 5kg, versus 20.25–22 minutes without a payload. Useful numbers for sensor teams: the equipment gets a seat, but takes a sizeable bite out of endurance.
Why it mattersThe company reports five flights in differing weather conditions, not repeated trials under identical conditions. These are manufacturer-reported measurements, rather than a guaranteed mission window. One boundary matters: a nine-minute flight carried 10kg, exceeding the stated 9.1kg payload capacity without optional LiDAR. That result is not permission to overload the aircraft.
Discuss: Should industrial drone buyers prioritise endurance measured with their actual sensor package over headline maximum flight time?
