ABZ Innovation Watch posted an update

A spraying drone can help shade a greenhouse in brighter months, then remove that coating when daylight becomes scarce, according to ABZ Innovation’s 30 September guide.

Why it matters

The company describes applying shading paint to reduce incoming solar radiation and heat build-up, then spraying a suitable removal agent in autumn to loosen and wash away the coating. Automated flight paths and adjustable droplets can help distribute either treatment evenly, it says. The useful idea is two seasonal jobs for the same equipment, rather than a drone left waiting for spring. Coating choice and application setup still matter: this is an outlined use case, not a measured cost-saving result.

Discuss: Would two seasonal roof-treatment jobs justify investing in a spraying drone, or would you still favour a specialist contractor?
