Circana says its Liquid AI platform can bring governed retail data into assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot through Model Context Protocol (MCP), while Agent2Agent (A2A) connects it to enterprise agents and workflows. The pitch is to put answers grounded in point-of-sale data and business rules inside tools companies already use, rather than leave them in a separate chat window.
Why it mattersThe practical detail is the integration route: teams could query Circana’s data through familiar assistants without replacing those tools. Circana also says one Australian retailer using Liquid AI reported more than 50% less time gathering data and conducting ad hoc investigations, and around 90% less time creating monthly reports. Those are company-reported results from one retailer, not a general performance guarantee. For technology leaders weighing another AI platform, the useful question is whether trusted data and existing workflows justify adding a specialist layer.
Discuss: Would you connect an AI assistant to a vendor’s governed data platform, or keep business data behind a separate interface?
