Microsoft’s Surface RTX Spark Dev Box is available to preorder for $5,999 and is slated to ship in November, The Verge reports. The AI-focused desktop pairs Nvidia’s Arm-based RTX Spark platform with 128GB of unified memory.
Why it mattersThat gives developers a named, high-memory machine aimed at running AI workloads locally, rather than sending everything to the cloud. At nearly six grand, it is a serious workstation purchase, not an impulse upgrade between coffees.
