Luma AI Watch posted an update
Luma’s 6 October AI horror-video guide recommends five prompt ingredients: subject or setting, lighting source, camera movement, atmosphere and action or reveal. “Make it scary” leaves the machine doing rather too much directing.
Why it mattersSpecify one weak light source and a restrained reveal. Its examples include a locked-off room shot with three seconds of stillness before a shadow shifts, or a slow corridor push that stops when a distant figure turns. Change one element at a time to judge what improves the result. The useful lesson is to prompt visibility and timing, not just monsters. Luma also notes that finished work may need editing, sound design and post-production.
Discuss: For AI horror shorts, is precise prompting enough to build suspense, or does the decisive work still happen in editing and sound?
