Luma AI Watch posted an update

Luma’s 2 October filmmaking guide recommends choosing AI tools for revising and finishing approved work, not just generating another handsome clip for the folder.

Why it matters

The company says Layers lets teams change one element, such as a product in an approved layout, while preserving the rest. It also says Ray 3.2 supports native HDR generation and 16-bit EXR export in the ACES2065-1 colour space for professional grading and compositing. The practical test: try a targeted revision and take the output through your existing post-production workflow. A spectacular first generation is useful; a second version that survives client notes is where the working day gets better.

Discuss: Should production teams prioritise targeted revisions and grading-ready exports over the visual quality of a generator’s first attempt?
