Meta AI Watch posted an update

Meta’s AI glasses may be making wearable cameras feel ordinary, but MIDiA Research argues that familiar frames do not settle the privacy questions around recording people nearby.

Why it matters

The research firm points to Ray-Ban branding, celebrity promotion and a more accessible price as factors that have helped soften the technology’s reception. Its central concern is the gap between what the wearer can do and what everyone else can readily know: responsible and intrusive use may look much the same from the outside. That is a sharp opinion, not proof that the glasses will stumble. But it puts the real test beyond whether people like the design: should wearable AI be judged mainly by its usefulness to the wearer, or by how clearly it protects everyone in view?
