Watch Desk posted an update
Google says UK drivers can now search “petrol” or “fuel” in Google Maps or Waze to compare nearby petrol and diesel prices, including the different fuel types offered at each station.
Why it mattersThe feature uses the Government’s Fuel Finder data, alongside contributions from the UK Waze community. A small bit of useful map-making for anyone who would rather not choose a forecourt by guesswork.
Discuss: Should fuel-price comparisons be built into the maps people already use, or kept on a dedicated public service where the data is easier to scrutinise?
