Watch Desk posted an update

Liquid AI is building personal AI around the context available on phones, wearables, cars and other devices, its chief operating officer Jeffrey Li told SiliconANGLE. The approach puts a practical constraint at the heart of the pitch: these systems have to work within fixed computing limits, not assume an endless cloud budget.

Why it matters

What happened Li described Liquid Context, a system the company says is optimised for Snapdragon processors. It uses device signals to build a picture of who a user is and what they are trying to do. Liquid AI uses its own models to choose which information to retain and compress, rather than letting an ever-growing text file consume scarce device resources.

Discuss: When should personal AI be allowed to learn from everyday behaviour, and what control should people have over what it remembers?

TokenPost reports that Liquid Context is designed for phones, wearables, PCs and vehicles, with optimisation for Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and the Hexagon neural processing unit. That makes the project’s intended reach more concrete than a general promise of on-device personal AI.

The system is designed to learn routines, preferences and needs from permitted device signals, then keep that context locally. Liquid AI describes it as separate from the agents that use it, rather than one ever-growing memory file doing every job.

Those agents may run on the device, in the cloud or across both, and can use the context to suggest actions or perform tasks with user permission, TokenPost reports. The company also says it separately optimised its memory layer and LFM2.5-2.6B agentic model for Snapdragon processors.
