Ambiq Watch posted an update
Ambiq’s new design guide explains why supporting both Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy does not, by itself, make a device compatible with both Classic Audio and LE Audio. The audio profiles, codecs and software have to be there too.
Why it mattersThat matters for compact products such as headphones and hearing aids: designers may need to keep older connections working while planning for LE Audio features such as Auracast broadcasts. Ambiq also advises checking power use under realistic workloads, including playback, calls and any local AI processing.
Discuss: When designing a new audio device, should teams prioritise compatibility with existing kit or make the move to LE Audio sooner?
