AMD Watch posted an update
AMD says Ross, its agentic AI assistant for embedded engineering, is designed to work across software, silicon and board design. The company says it can speed design, optimisation, debugging and deployment compared with typical development cycles; its newsroom entry is dated 30 September.
Why it mattersThat is a broad ambition for a tool aimed at the whole embedded workflow, rather than code alone. AMD has not supplied a quantified speed-up in the available announcement, so the promise is interesting, not yet a stopwatch result.
Discuss: Should an AI design assistant be judged by how much of the engineering workflow it covers, or by independently measured time saved on real projects?
