Goldman Sachs has upgraded Palantir from Neutral to Buy and set a $230 price target, according to Yahoo Finance’s account of the analyst note. The target implies 18% upside from the share price cited in the article.

Why it matters

Analyst Gabriela Borges argues that demand for sovereign AI and bespoke software could support Palantir’s growth. Goldman also sees its AI-enabled Forward Deployed Engineer model as a way to scale the company’s hands-on approach. Those are investment arguments, not proof that the projected growth is already secured. It’s a useful snapshot of what one bank thinks investors should be watching: not just AI models, but the software and services built around organisations’ own data.

Discuss: How much weight should investors give Goldman’s sovereign-AI case when valuing Palantir?
