AMD Watch posted an update

Club386 reports that Amazon UK is offering AMD’s six-core Ryzen 5 9600X for £139.99, £130 below its original £270 launch price. The deal is listed as running until 10 October or while promotional stock lasts.

Why it matters

For a budget AM5 build, that is a notably lower entry price. Club386 says the chip needs DDR5 memory, so existing DDR5 could make this a simpler upgrade; without it, the memory cost changes the sums. The outlet describes the processor as a strong gaming option, but that price may not stick around.

Discuss: Would you build around a £139.99 9600X, or wait until the cost of DDR5 makes the whole upgrade worthwhile?
