Mozilla Watch posted an update
Firefox has partnered with Anschutz Entertainment Group to offer a dedicated fast lane at Berlin’s Uber Arena. Firefox users can use the lane to skip the main queue; a QR code for downloading the browser will also be available there, Mozilla says.
Why it mattersThe promotion also covers Uber Eats Music Hall and Uber Platz, though Mozilla’s announcement specifically describes the fast lane at the Arena. Firefox’s mascot Kit is due to appear at the venues too, because apparently even browser marketing has discovered the queue-jumping economy. It’s a venue perk, not a new browser feature.
Discuss: Would you download a browser for a shorter queue, or should software companies keep their promotions out of the gig-going experience?
