Watch Desk posted an update
Azure’s azure-mgmt-sql Python SDK preview, version 5.0.0b2, adds properties for backup and retention immutability, including legal-hold and time-based settings.
Why it mattersThe release also adds required-field properties for several auditing policies and pagination parameters to multiple list operations. For developers managing Azure SQL through Python, that means more controls and clearer ways to retrieve results are represented in the SDK, though the release notes do not describe a user-facing service change.
Discuss: When managing cloud databases through an SDK, which matters more to you: stronger backup controls or more complete, predictable API responses?
